It works real good I use it in a 12 by 15 ft room, it cools the room pretty fast I see alot of people dont like this and say it doesnt work but you have to vent it correctly or it doesnt work!!

I puchased this portable A/C unit for my daughter's room which has been impossible to sleep in during these hot nights. It works better than expected. Easy assembly, quick set up, and it works beautifully. Her room is now the coolest in the house, worth every penny. Yes the remote as others mentioned has features that are not available on this lower end model, but the remote does work for the basic temp. control, and off/on. You can not go wrong for this price.

The Soleus Portable Air Conditioner works great! It cools my 12 x 12 office really well and quickly, too. When I'm not using the A/C function, I use the fan function to keep air moving. The best part is that I can roll it to another room if I needed to. I don't have to lift it into a window. It was easy to put together. The instructions were easy to read.

The unit was easy for me to move and install by myself. It cooled half my house (600 sq.ft) to 78 degrees while we had our 4 day over 100 degree days. Only problem was with my cats. They kept jumping on the exhaust duct and pulling it out of the window.

Easy to set up. Well constructed. Heavy to move, although it has wheels, they don't roll well on carpet, so that makes it "not so portable." You will need a lot of strength if you plan to carry this up stairs. I am a reasonably strong woman, but I had to push/slide it up the stairs because I couldn't lift it. Helps to cool a medium-sized bedroom, but doesn't get totally cool during extremely hot weather, even though it is constantly running.

My wife and I are in heaven put this is on our bedroom, keep the setting mostly at 72 degrees and sleep very good, our rotteweiler is a big fan of it also she sleeps on the wood floor in the bedroom and do to the new air conditioner keeps the room and the floor very cool, if she could talk dutchess would say thank you! especially this being one of the hottest summers on record a nice relief from the heat! thanks again the marsiglia"s

Absolutely great. I bought right before the big heat wave the beginning of July and have been extremely pleased. It's quiet, cool and easy to move. My only suggestion to the manufacturer is to come up with some sort of lover for the outside vent, to keep out the rain. I have to make sure to take the vent from the window, whenever it rains. Otherwise I LOVE IT!!!

This unit is not worth the $$$. For a 8000btu unit. If the temp. outside reaches 80+ degrees this unit is useless. I've now tried this unit for 2 months and wished i have never bought it. As mentioned in previous reviews the back hose get very hot and radiates hot air back into the room. Noisy also. My room is 364 square ft.
