Overall these little helicopters are a good deal. I always wanted something like this when I was young. Im In my 30's now and purchased this for my 7 year old daughter. Of course I picked one up for myself as well. It took her about 15 minutes to get the hang of flying, and about 5 minutes for myself. The onyl downfall is the blades do get dinged up if you run into walls and other objects over and over, so if you hit something immediatly stop the helicopter to avoid damage. It would be noce if the blades were a bit more durable, but I understand they have to keep them light so it can fly. Its a lot of fun and I would purchase again.

Little hard to control until you spend time with it other than that it's a great toy It takes double a batteries but they seam to last for a while. It comes with extra tail rotors and it really flies high. The best place to fly is outside other than outside you don't have enough room to fly it properly.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my five year old son. It ended up being a hit for the adults instead. Each year we try to buy something for the guys in the family to all play with on Christmas day. Last year it was the marshmallow shooter, this year it was the screaming monkey. The monkey was not a hit but the Air Hog RC Helicopter was a huge hit, not so much for my son but for the adults. This product works great however it is very dainty, therefore not sturdy enough for the likes of a five year old. The manufacturer does say that this is for ages 8+. I would say that eight years of age would be the minimum requirement unless you have a very careful child. I would recommend buying the twin pack because your children will be fighting fover r it. It does take a little bit of time to learn the controls but it's still fun even if you don't have it mastered. This item was definitely the hit of Christmas day.
