Love this radio, had the analog version for years and finally moved up to the digital tuner. The advantage is not guessing where to find the stations... Works great with the phone too... Driving the tractor, running a floor cleaning machine, my talk radio shows, audio books on the phone, and music are all easy to listen to at a comfortable volume level

This is no more MP3 compatible than a set of ear buds. When connecting your mp3 player this set acts like a set of headphones with no amplification. In fact it lowers the sound to unacceptable levels. Better to buy a inexpensive hearing protector head set. then put these over your ear buds.

I had the analog version (no digital display) of this headset that lasted a long time until my Kubota ran over it. The old set and the new set have about the same reception limitations - poor. I'm about 40 miles from the main radio stations. And I can only pick up one of the local country stations on am. That station is about 12 miles away. I get more interference with the new set. I do like the added input for mp3, ipods, or cell phones. That feature is nice, but the volume is controlled by the device that is plugged in to it. When using the input jack, volume is lower than if using the am/fm radio.The instructions say it that way for ear saftey... Comfort is good. Battery life is good so far. For $40 it's an ok set... I've never tried the more expensive brands

I got these so i would have one set to be able to listen to mp3 or the radio with while riding my lawn mower. the fidelity is better than i expected. One thing to note that is not in the instructions--when using the mp3 attachment, turn the volume down to zero on the headset, and use the volume control on the mp3 player to control the sound. otherwise you will not get sound to work.

This set does an incredible job of blocking out noise, especially when the radio is on. The signal reception is very impressive as I mostly use it inside a metal-sided building with no problem. Digital tuning/presets would be nice to have, but seems that this feature on the higher-priced models presents a trade-off on signal strength. The only real complaint is with the fit (of course this will be different for everyone). They fit too tightly at my temple causing moderate discomfort after several minutes of wearing them.

The hearing protection works very well, however, I wish the radio quality was better. The sound quality is tinny and flat with some interference mixed in. I would have spent more money on a mix of this hearing protection with Bose quality.

I use these while riding my Craftsman 3000 lawn tractor. They provide good hearing protection and I can listen to my favorite radio shows or plug in my IPOD with audio books. They are comfortable to wear.

I have an older version and love it. I got this for my brother in law and he said he loves it! the radio sound is great and he likes the way the outside noise is lessened. Definitely a great buy!

I owned my first pair for five years and these are one tough set of headphones. I run a compact diesel tractor with a six foot mowing deck and these make the five hours of mowing go fast and pleasant. They get used in the rain and covered in mower dust on a regular basis and still function like new. Even being knocked off my head a few times by the occasional tree branch hasn’t affected their performance. Great for the gas powered trimmer/blower use too. I also used these as a drummer to play along with the music and protect my ears. Reception is as good as a car radio and the battery life, (two AA), is long too. My first set has the analog tuner and no stereo input. The new version does have the stereo input and a digital preset tuning. The second set I use in the office so I can use the headphones and very low volume and not be distracted by office noise. They are very comfortable and stay put. Imagine running a chainsaw and listening to opera.
