I am on my second iron of this type. I like how heavy the iron is, because it is perfect for pressing 100% cotton or linen clothing. Also, it does not have lots of settings or digital things that can go wrong. Lasts approximately 5-7 years. I had a $150+ Rowenta that didn't make it through one year of service, so I'll take this basic iron any day.

I owned a previous version of this iron for 20 years and loved it. It got hot, had great steam and made ironing easier. This version is terrible - I don't know if it is all the safety features they put on it or what, but it will not steam when it is supposed to (when you lay the iron flat). And why does it have to blink red when it is plugged in, but OFF?

This iron is one of the worst products that I have ever purchased. The iron did not last more than 2months. I would not recommend this iron to my worst enemy. You truly get what you pay for.
