While many college students are preparing for summer pool parties and weekend trips to the lake, soon-to-be grads are preparing for the workforce.

I’m always looking for fun accessories that don’t cost a fortune. I believe that accessories can take an otherwise simple outfit and make it fabulous. This is also the area of your wardrobe where you can be trendy without going over the top. Most of us aren’t in our 20’s anymore – the decade when you can be fashionably fearless. However, that doesn’t mean that you have to retire your inner fashionista; she can still shine – with an age appropriate wardrobe and amazing accessories!

Welcome to the start of holiday party season!  It’s that time of year when your calendar is booked with social functions from now through New Years.  And while we all enjoy seeing friends and indulging in good food and drink, for some, the thought of having to pull together an outfit for each occasion is enough to make one want to hibernate for the next few weeks.  Worse yet, these are the times when those who don’t know what to wear decide to pull out the Christmas themed sweaters.

Well, shove those sweaters to the back of your closet.  We have some fabulous and chic party outfits that will make you want to rock around the Christmas tree!

Fall is the season for great accessories and a time to have fun with your personal style.  There are so many ways to create great outfits without the need to add a lot of new clothing to your wardrobe.  You have the basics: boots, jeans, long sleeve tees, chunky knit sweaters and dresses.  Now, how do you accessorize?

The weather may be turning cold and dreary, but that’s no reason for your wardrobe to follow suit.  Sure, we all rely on the basic neutrals of black, brown and gray, but if you don’t add a punch of color you can look and feel as gloomy as the weather.  So, this fall, boost your mood and stand out from the crowd with some eye popping color that’s anything but drab.

Aside from reuniting with old friends, one thing about going back to school that children look forward to the most is picking a new outfit for the first day.  Your child wants to look cool.  You want her to look stylish but tasteful and be comfortable without spending a fortune on designer brands.

Fall is my absolute favorite season when it comes to fashion.  I love the boots, the layering and all of the accessories.  Most of us could probably go wild purchasing new fall clothing.  In reality though, we need to pick and choose pieces that fit into our budget. 

We’ve all been there, standing in front of our closets at a complete loss as to what to wear.  You are busy.  I understand that.  So, often you will just grab something easy to throw on and it usually isn’t even in your closet.  It’s draped over the back of a chair in your bedroom. 

Forget accessorizing, that requires much more effort.  Oh, and shoes.  Well, those flip flops are sitting by the back door and they go with everything, right?

You’ve probably heard over and over that every woman needs a little black dress (LBD).  Well, I agree.  The black dress is appropriate for all sorts of occasions and events. 

You can dress it up or dress it down depending on your shoes and accessories.  It’s one easy piece that never goes out of style. 

There are times, however, when you want to stand out from the crowd and not feel like every other woman in the room.  By mixing and matching what you may already own, you can easily combine some different pieces to create simple, yet stunning alternatives.

There are so many reasons to love summer; ice cream sandwiches, the smell of fresh cut grass, toes in the sand.   It’s also the easiest and least expensive season to dress for.  You don’t need a huge summer wardrobe.  Just a few key pieces will get you through the hottest months of the year.
