I had not planned to jump on the George Foreman press grill bandwagon. But I saw a GF on sale, and I just couldn’t pass it up. I’m sure glad I decided to go ahead and get an indoor grill, because I’ve found so many quick and easy foods that turn out great press grilled.
To start with, I just made hamburgers and chicken breasts on the George Foreman grill. That’s what I’d heard other people talking about press grilling, and the George Foreman is great for quick indoor grilled meats.
I did, of course, jazz up my meats a little. They taste kind of bland if you just put meat in the George Foreman and press and eat. My son noted this when he made some pork chops at college, and I told him he needs to get creative.

After years of tailgating and working “rescue” with students (and adults) who are green at parking lot grilling, I have a few tips to share.

Folks don’t just stack up dirty pots and pans and pull them out and cook in them over and over without washing them, but a lot of people do that with a grill. And, really it’s not much different from using the breakfast skillet with grease and egg fragments to mix up Hamburger Helper later for supper. After all grilled food does cook right on those grates.
