Dinner on a Deadline
It’s Friday afternoon and you just heard that out-of-town friends are popping in for a visit at the dinner hour. You can certainly take them out for a meal but that can get expensive. For What It’s Worth, We Don’t Make them Eat their Veggies
We have a few rules in our house as it relates to dinner. The first is that you give everything a try because chances are, you’ll like it. The second is the 5 bite rule – when you say you are full, if there is still food on your plate you have to take 5 more bites of whatever contains the most protein and/or vitamins. Meal Planning for the Averse Mom
I have a complaint as it relates to cooking and that is that I HATE it! I believe it’s because of this aversion that I’ve always found it difficult and even stressful some weeks to plan my family’s dinner menu. Not only is it a challenge to make sure I’m focusing on something that will be healthy enough for my ADHD/Autistic son, but working around our schedules now that one if not both boys have something related to baseball every evening makes the situation that much more difficult – not to mention agreeing on something that is acceptable to all four of us.
But thanks to a few friends who have been at the SAHM thing longer than I have, I have recently found a few ideas that so far are helping me get more organized as well as saving me time and frustration.
