I got this saw on sale and have used it on big and small jobs. I even use it to trim my palm tress in the yard. I find the light usefull in some hard to reach places that don't get a lot of light. The battery run time is great with the lithium batteries. The saw handles well and cuts come out smooth and even. The changing of the blades is very easy and the saw is comfortable in my hands. I have bought this saw for just about all the guys in my family and they all love it too!!!!

love this tool! the led i thought might of been a little over the top but is actually useful and a nice touch for an inexpensive saw. I have cut plenty of wood and metal with this and have had no problems with it at all. Saw blades are quick and easy to change out as well.

I got this saw to go along with my other C3 tools, and it really works well. The tool less blade change is really nice, and the light is helpful in dark areas. I use the Lithium batteries, and it works a long time. When cutting down trees I put in a long tree cutting blade, and it zipped right through branches 2" or less as fast as a chain saw. It also made fast work of trimming branches. I do recommend the Lithium batteries for the lighter weight, extra power, and fast recharge time. Also the Lithium's lose less energy just sitting between jobs which is a big help if you don't use it every few days. Nothing is worse than being all ready to work on something, grabbing a tool and finding out the battery went dead just from sitting around. Overall a great value for the money.

I've used the Craftsman reciprocating saw to cut tree limbs, for demolition, and cutting in spots that no other saw could reach. It has been very durable, lasting 3years and still going as if it were brand new.

craftsman reciprocating cordless saw c3 19.2 volt is awesome, with its toolless blade change you can take it any where (camping trip,to the woods, and not have to worry about electricity) its easy to use and comes in handy no matter where or what job you need toget done! the only problem is the safety button no ergonomic and poor safety design

I bought this as I have other tools in the C3 system, and this one is no disappointment. It's very powerful as with other C3 tools and never ran into an issue with the battery.

I was concerned with the work time on a NiCd Rechargable battery when I first got this saw. Just let me say it has surpassed my expectations.

I have the non-LED version of this saw and I love it. I don't think you can beat it for the price, and I bought it wondering if it would be powerful enough for the jobs I needed to do. Turns out, it is just fine, especially with the fullsize Lithium battery. The first weekend I had it, I was doing demo on a property and used it to clear vegetation, cut Schedule 40 PVC pipe, cut the aluminum supports on a sun room, and cut rebar from a wall we knocked down. Amazingly enough, I broke the metal blade (operator error) before the battery ran out. My only complaint is that the safety button is not ergonomic and should be placed closer to the trigger for one-handed operation. I am very pleased with the power and portability of this sawzall and recommend it to anyone looking for a battery-powered reciprocating saw.

I've had several cordless tools, but the Craftsman 19.2 volt outlast the others i have had. Good quality workmanship, and the batteries seem to last longer.

I got this sawzall when I was looking for my first cordless tool set. I bought it as an add-on along with the 1/2" HD Drill/Driver add-on and a Diehard NiCad battery kit to start me off. MAN, was I happily suprised. This saw has the power of a corded brute, with the versatility of hand saw. I never even touched the normally junky included blades, I just bought the $30 Craftsman Professional Recip. Saw blade kit and was set. I liked the fact that it had a light, that the C3 line had so many tools, and that it was cordless but still had good reviews. It is not that taxing on the battery, believe it or not, even when using the NiCad's like me. But the grip material sucks. This is the same through the whole C3 line, hey, the low price has to factor in somewhere. It peels away in layers in the higher friction areas even after only little use, I found putting electrical tape over those areas solved the problem and didn't look bad either. I also took the full saw apart to re-lube, clean, and TAKE OUT the annoying safety button. God, not even lock On/Off like many competitors, just lock On or u have to manipulate your hands to turn it off while pulling the trigger. Now, I got this saw back in May, 2009, and I can't say it's been used and abused, because I take good care of my tools, but it's DEFINITELY been used heavily. I've used it as my second arm in the past year and whatever, helping me in anything I needed cut from beams, to piping and tubing up to 1/4" thick, to plywood, and with MASSIVE amounts of greenwood cutting; Even up to a half foot diameter pine that was 30 feet tall with a foot long Green Wood ugly blade. It was used in 85+degree w/ 97% humidity or even with drizzles for long periods in the hills helping us build a bike trail and cutting saplings galore, stumps, and through nails and what have you. And it kept giving and giving. I would still have it if it wasn't stolen with a battery still on it, so that left me with a drill and one battery and a charger. I'd been looking at hammerdrills and this gave me the chance to get one, because there was no use keeping the old with only one battery. I settled on the RIDGID X3 Hammerdrill Kit w/ 2 L.Ion batteries, and an add-on sawzall. I am happy with this saw too, and with the tool-less shoe adjustment, which the Craftsman didn't have, but only time will tell if it can withstand the rigors that my mighty Craftsman could.
