GE Profile™ Series 20.7 cu. ft. French-Door Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator - Stainless Steel

Great looking, freezer departments are well thought out. Fresh foods stay fresh. Easy access to everything.

I've had this model for 2.5 years and it has had problems almost from day one. Today we found out the wrong screws had been placed in the top (small) freezer drawer, creating a closing problem and making it unsteady. The ice maker has had to be serviced two times. The freezer has created hoarfrost, probably due to the screw problem. If GE cannot even quality control check the screws, what else has it missed? The refrigerator is not very functional and actually does not hold nearly as much as I had thought it would.

So far, I love my new refrigerator. It is beautiful and I stare at it a lot. It is very functional. The two drawer freezer is very handy. The bottom one is deeper for storage and the top one is great for things you need to be able to find quickly.

Have had this refrigerator for about one year now and the water has frozen several times. You need to make certain food is not next to vents on the inside of the refrigerator and even then it will freeze. Having to manage this greatly limits the already limited storage capacity. Would not recommend.

Since the interior of the fridge is so limited I think that the drawer above the freezer should be fridge, not freezer.

We recently had some problems with the ice maker it quit making ice and items were freezing in the refrigerator section, Both were fixed by the service man and it is working good so far.

Bought this product for our newly purchased house after a cross country move. Wanted a freezer on the bottom since I prefer not to have to bend down for refrigerated items. I use the freezer less often so having it on the bottom is more practical. The freezer drawer is nice to use for things like ice cream that are used more frequently. The refrigerated section has been very frustrating to use. There are too many shelves and the storage on the doors is less than adequate. I think what I will have to do is remove a shelf so as to be able to store taller items in the fridge. Also had to wait 6 extra weeks due to the appliance being on back order. Totally unacceptable. Paying so much for an appliance and then it is not delivered on time. I would love a fridge with one door to open and big plain roomy shelves to use. Not 2 doors and several little divided shelves. Very annoying to use. And, the plastic drawers seem cheap and flimsy. The outside of the unit is pleasant in appearance.

I'm enjoying my new fridge. When I first opened it the light blazing out was impressive. The extra storage in the freezer is very much appreciated by my wife. On the inside, the doors could have attachable labels, "HIS" and "HERS' respectfully;). I like having clean water again where the performance of the filter is provided. The ice maker is way too small. Perhaps a finger-print touch screen could be activated to save some of the ice cubes for the husband!!! Essentiall, I'm glad that it can't talk to me; the subtle beeps are enough to get my attention. My wife reads true crime stories on her Nook by the dozen; if I come up missing, look in the freezer:).

If you are looking for a sharp looking French door refrigerator that is counter deep this is it! While it is very nice to have the water, ice and control on the front you will loose space in the inside door storage. But you then gain freezer space by it being in door. Fast ice production and an ice bucket for the freezer. I bought my third set of profile line for three different homes. They have never had a repair or replacement in over fifteen years and they are still stylish and work like new. I use Zep stainless steel polish and they clean up easily. I liked a white set but now going back to stainless steel for a beach house as It does not rust out near the salty Gulf.

It has not been running properly. We are still waiting to find out how this is going to be resolved. The condensor runs for long periods of time, the shelves are rusty, the back panel has a yellow discoloration.
