Gladiator Gladiator® Jumbo GearBox

Nice solid cabinet.. Was gonna give it 4 stars... But the lock is all for show.. Very poorly Designed... Try locking the cabinet, then pull both doors open at the same time.. *fail* Looks like I need to add a 3rd party lock kit for this...

I was pleasantly surprised at how easily this went together. They even give you an allen wrench for the larger screws. I put the smaller screws in with my screw gun. All of the screws, nuts, washers and bolts come secured to a card board placard so it is easy to tell at a glance that you have all the parts. A real plus is the feet for the cabinet- they screw in/out of the base so you can adjust them to level the cabinet. It makes it a snap to have everything line up the way it should. Nice and durable. The only downside is that only one key is provided. They should include at least two keys in case one is misplaced.

I love the Jumbo Gearbox. It is large enough to get a of items into and it still looks like a perfect fit in your garage. If I were starting over with designing my garage I would have gotten two of the Jumbo Gearboxes (shame I can't get my wife's upright freezer out of the garage). It fits right in with the rest of my Gladiator items. This Gearbox holds a lot of items and makes the garage so much more organized.

i go this cabinet because is the only 1 that offers 72-24-36, the 24 deep is the best thing about this cabinet, everyone offer a 18 or 16. this cabinet is essay a asemble if you have the right tools. i go the job done in 1 hour and i was not working hard on it . i got this cabinet for work and everybody whats one know, im a diesel mechanic

Purchased this garage gear box (storage cabinet) after reviewing specifications of other storage cabinets. What a disappointment! First time I adjust its position in the garage after putting my power tools in it, the leveling legs collapsed beneath it. I don?t see how this cabinet could possibly how 300 pounds. In order to use the cabinet, I have constructed a base made of two pieces of ¾ inch plywood cut to the size of the base of the cabinet. The metal is too thin and without sufficient reinforcement. If you hang it on the wall all might be okay but then, I wouldn?t trust it, as the back of the cabinet is just as thin as the base. Gladiator is a complete misnomer for this cabinet. Weak-kneed is more like the quality.

I was given an early Fathers Day surprise from my wife, as I had lately been giving the garage a makeover with fresh paint and GearWall Panels and Gladiator Shelving. I jad spent weeks researching the best garage storage system, and for the money, Gladiator has everything. The only help I needed was getting the box out of my Wife's SUV. It went together in about an hour using a ratcheting screwdriver (highly recommended). Its sturdy enough for camping gear and power tools and just about everything else. Yes - not as "indestructible" as the Gear Locker on wheels, but lets face it: Its great looking and functional and he perfect addition to "The Cave". I plan to get one more. I was very impressed with the way it was packaged and the instructions were clear. These things are definitely the way to go, and like most everyone has mentioned, look for the sales and take advantage of that. Mine was about $150.00 off the normal price.

While this cabinet must be assembled, it goes together easily and becomes quite sturdy once all the screws and bolts are tightened. I found that most of the weight is in the doors and shelves; and I could manage the cabinet frame quite easily myself. I unpacked the box piece-by-piece rather than trying to carry the whole thing inside.

I did not hang the unit, but used the very large glides provided. The cabinet was easy to level. It is very stable. The magnets provided keep the doors shut fine.

It helped the assembly process to use a #10-32 tap to thread the many screw holes, rather than relying on the "self-threading" screws. I spent a bit over an hour putting this together myself.

Finally, I use the cabinet to store tools and find that the 4 shelves provided have more than enough room. This is by far the best value available in a 24" deep cabinet.

I think this is the best storage cabinet money can buy! It's super heavy duty. With heavy steel diamond plate doors, that lock positively and securely. The shelves are very heavy, lock into place well and can support a lot of wiegh.  It was easy to assemble and looks great when completed ( It took approx. 1 hr to complete only one dude necessary)

The parts came out of the shipping box unscratched or dented, the parts were very well protected. The instructions were easy to follow and well done.

In short. I plan on purchasing another ????Gladiator Premier Jumbo Gear box very soon to replace an older, less well made version storage cabinet that I bought from a Sears competitor. I highly recommend buying this Gladiator Gear Box! If you're on the market to buy a big heavy duty storage cabinet,that looks great, and well designed, this is the one to get! Nuff said!

I have other Gladiator products and I wanted a cabinet to match. The cabinet is bigger than most due to its extra depth. I can't imagine hanging this beast on the wall with Geartrack especially when you see how the back panels are attached to the cabinet. The back panels, five of them, attach to the cabinet with very small screws. I don't see how they could possibly hold the weight of a full cabinet (the wall mounting brackets attach to these back panels). I put the cabinet together by myself in about 2.5hrs. A second set of hands would be nice, but not required. Overall a great product.
