Very nice gazebo. Took the recommended three people to put up. Love the lights. Had no problem with them slipping into the post as described in another post.
Cosmetically excellent. Need at least two people but better with three. If you have larger hands, a little more difficult to attach the top rails to the posts. Better to make sure that the electrical connections are tight before securing the hardware together or you could easily lose one of them out of its socket. Directions fine but could be a little more clear. Sturdy product. Lights add to the ambience at night
I bought this gazebo for my back deck and love it. It provides great shade and looks great. Was easy to put together. I did most of the install myself.
Staten Island, NY
My husband and I put it together ourselves. Not too bad. I get a lot of use out of my gazebo and I am very happy with it.
We bought this yesterday, set it up, no problems, Today we've had a light rain for most of the afternoon. Everything under the gazebo is soaked. It's as if the covering is non existent. We paid $700 for it, I'm taking it down and taking it back. We've had two other canopies over the last 9 years and neither were this expensive nor did they leak water through. I expected more for $700. I feel sorry for those that paid full price of $1000 at the beginning of the season. We wanted a nicer looking and less intrusive gazebo for the patio off the sliding door and as sun shelter when getting out of the pool. Guess it pays to buy cheaper, the more expensive doesn't doesn't equate to better quality.
We looked at hard roof style gazebos and felt that they looked to 'hard' for our patio setup. So we found this with a sale price. We liked the size, the lights for its effects, the mosquito screen and the sturdy size of the legs. For assembly, you can't do it by yourself. If you don't have three people, then you need two and a tall ladder to support the legs from tipping over. Use a 1/4 ratchet with a T30 and 10 mm. Instructions were good but pay attention to the pictures. Part 'L' needs to tilt towards the outside away from the screen hooks. Overall a nice piece. I still have to secure to the floor but I'm not in a rush because I can't see it move with the weight of it.
It LEAKS, 2 corner uprights were bent, hook in ceiling bent, one hook for netting broke, pockets for awing to hook into roof are very small. the unit is very sturdy. Can't be put on deck the book says. Ordered extra awning already to be safe. Bolts need an allen wrench which is hard to use inside the corner posts. Will see what it looks like in 1-2 months.
This went together very smooth, my wife and I did it in about 90 minutes. Just be patient and take your time. It did go faster using a T handled allen wrench and a 10mm wrench
Instructions are vague. Need to stay focused as to orientation of posts and top rails. Velcro needs to be on inside of the corners. Definitely need 2 people to assemble. Instructions say NOT to screw to deck. Don't understand why??? Looks great on the deck. Bought replacement canvas to replace original 3 / 4 years from now so I'll have it when I need it. Hope we get at least 6/7 years out of it.
The gazebo is beautiful. Once set up I cemented in it the ground for a sturdier support. The next day when trying to plug in the lights, the cble fell into the pole. I now have a lighted gazebo that doesn't light. I am unable to get the wiring out of the pole in any way. This is a problem that should be looked into. I will just resort to strings of lights instead
