Pros: Compact size, adequate cooking and firebox fuel space, cast iron cooking grates, well positioned chimney, good fire temperature control. Cons: Thermometer has no probe so it only measures very inaccurate cooking temps near the top of the lid rather than nearer the grate where the food is, cooking chamber seals smoke very poorly, storage grate is so flimsy that a bag of charcoal causes very excessive sagging, grease will leak to a patio due to end seams that are only spot welded. Suggested Modifications: Add a thermometer with a probe (be prepared to patch exisitng 2" thermometer mounting hole), seal cooking chamber air leaks if you want to low-temp smoke, seal grease leaks and perhaps add grease drip pan. If you've been-there-done-that with lower priced cookers, you can make this one a 4-star. If not, it is what it is which is a nice out-of-the box 3-star cooker.
