Maytag 30'' 2.0 cu. ft. Microhood Combination Microwave Oven

This unit is so loud, that a normal conversation can not take place in its vacinity. Although the fan & light are centered over my cooktop. The effeciency of both are inadequte and poor offering little in the way of performance. The fan exhaust is poor, the front of the unit fill with condensation even when using a low simmer on my cooktop. The demensions of this unit extends approx 5" beyond the top cabnits, leaving an "oversized/commercial" feel. To turn the "fan" off, you need to cycle through the 4 speeds, rather than having it's own off/on speed. Controls are cumbersome & not applicable for my uses. Inside capacity is large and performance of cooking is normal.

The purchase of this microwave was actually a happy accident. I had ordered a different brand and when I went to pick it up, this is the micriwave that was in the box. Originally I was a little upset at them for messing up my order, but when I saw how good the reviews were on this microwave (better than the one I had actually ordered) I figured I'd give it a shot. This microwave has proven to be excellent! It reheats food evenly. It has a +30 seconds button, which I use all the time. The vent has three settings. The highest setting is very loud, but it does its job and makes sure my kitchen doesn't wreak of whatever food I'm cooking. The light also has several settings, which I have found useful. The reason I did not give 5 stars for "features" is because the extra settings on it (soften, melt, etc) take a long time to Get used to. I pride myself on being able to conquer any piece of technology without ever having to look at a manual, but these buttons threw me for a loop. It took some studying before I got the hang of it. Even now I rarely use them because it takes too long to make a selection. The reason I did not give 5 stars for sound is because I wish that the sound would stop once you open the door, take your food out and close the door again... Unfortunately it keeps beeping until you actually press the stop button. Kind of annoying. On a better note, the stainless steel interior is beautiful and really easy to keep clean. I would absolutely purchase this microwave again and recommend it to a friend.

I have bought this product for a lot of reasons. But the one that stands out the mose is the quality and look of what it can do. I like all the options it has for cooking. The style is great and the look even inside is perfect. Thanks for a great product!

I have been very pleased with this microwave and particularly like the capacity size along with the wide glide tray. This tray is great for casseroles etc. The sensor cooking feature is a great feature to have, I had never had a microwave with stainless steel interior and I really like this and its easy to keep clean. The 10 year warranty is and added bonus. I would definitely recommend this product

I just love my new Maytag Microwave, it is easy to use, it defrosts meats in seconds. Love the rotating feature, cooks food evenly and just right.

Since we have had Maytag washers and dryers for 50+ years we decided to purchase a Maytag microwave when our five-year-old GE Profile's magnatron gave out. There are several things we like about this microwave oven but my favorite is the size of the glass tray in the oven! It is rectangular and covers nearly the entire cooking surface of the oven. It is quite capable of re-heating or cooking in a 9 x 13 dish/pan. This means a lot when you have many children and grandchildren. The other thing I like is the way it "rotates in a square". Sounds crazy but that's what it does! Food cooks and heats evenly. My husband has Celiac Disease and we eat every meal at home. He is quite sensitive so we do not eat out. This microwave is my trusty companion on a 24/7 basis!

It feels like handling a German car, especially when closing the door! The rectangle tray sliding movement keeps the light cover of a dish in place unlike the round trays. The extra features, like 'soften/melt' and 'quick defrost' are very appreciated.

I bought the unit because it seemed to be more soild than compareable microwaves. The controls are slightly more complicated to use when compared to similar units. In some casses it takes more steps to do the same cooking task. The cooking cycle fan is much louder than compareable units.

The oven is well built, easy to mount,simple to operate and the capacity is great

I really love all my new Maytag appliances. Only suggestion. The light that you turn on and looks over the stove top, is in the back of the microwave behind the vent. It should have been placed in the front before the vented area. The lighting is really poor over the front of the stove top.
