NordicTrack A.C.T. Elliptical Trainer

We purchased this machine after deciding this was the year we were going to get into shape. We liked the idea of the small footprint with all the bells and whistles like a built in fan and ipod connector. My husband and I put it together in about 3 hours, and following the directions was quite simple. Since then (about 2 1/2 months ago) we have been using it 5 days a week on varying resistance levels, using the preset options. This machine really gets me sweating! I have already lost 30 pounds and have really upped my energy level! Don't wait!! Buy it now!

We have loved having this in our home! We like that we don't have to leave our home to workout, and boy do we get a workout on this machine!

I recently purchased this elliptical and had a chance to use it a few times. So far so good. Whisper quiet and very smooth. Great variation in resistance. I would recommend assembling the unit yourself as the delivery men were ready to assemble it but honestly, I did not have a lot of confidence in their ability. They admittedly said that they have only assembled a few of these. The directions are excellent and if you're even a bit handy it should be a fairly easy job, just time consuming as it took me about 2 1/2 to 3 hours but I was very meticulous with each step. I would not recommend jumping ahead in steps as that could make things a lot more difficult. Overall a great buy and I got it at a decent discount when it went on sale.

I purchased this after I was at my sisters house for a Superbowl party, she had one and I tried it out, I was very impressed. This is by far the best piece of workout equipment I'ver ever purchased. It gives a great all over workout. My husband and I love it!

Got a great deal on the ACT EllipticalTrainer from Sears online. It arrived as scheduled and It took about 2hr 30 min to assemble. I have assembeld numerous things in my 54 years--I must say, the instructions were the best I have ever seen and it went together without a hitch--did not even require massive amounts of beer! I have done 3 Ifit workouts in the last 3 days and the Trainer works perfect and is as quiet as can be. My girlfriend came out to check on me the other night because it was so quiet--she thought I may have had a heart attack. I will say the workouts on the Elliptical are much harder than on a treadmill. I feel like I am getting a much better workout in half the time on the Elliptical than I would spend on a treadmill. So far I am more than pleased with my purchase!

This Elliptical is perfect!! Its small in size but does a great workout. Love it.

good piece of training equipment it will help improve my cardio

We purchased (2)of these machines due to their compact nature. We had them both delivered and assembled by Sears. Within the 1st few days both machines were making a lot of noise, like pieces on the handle assemblies were loose. We called Sears and they sent out 2 new machines and assembled those. Within 2 months 1 of the units has a really loose right handle and the other one makes that clicking sound while peddling with the arms. We have the extended warranty which is NOT serviced by Sears and when calling NordicTrac was asked to tighten up the stuff ourselves and when I refused was told that I needed to get the owners manual out and tell the representative what part(s) were malfunctioning. I am not a technician and the owners manual is so detailed with all of the pieces and bolts. Come on. If I had known that Sears themselves did NOT service this item I would have NOT purchased it.

After ordering the trainer, I downloaded the manual from NordicTrack, read it cover-to-cover, and watched a video on the assembly process. I'm glad I did that because it took me about 3 hours to assemble, but I was taking it slow as to not make any mistakes. Others have commented about a "clunking" noise which I've not experienced in the first month of ownership--time will tell perhaps. Nonetheless, it gives me a great workout and because of the compact design, I have plenty of room for all other exercise equipment.
