a little pricey but good quality

I purchased this item about 4 days ago and have used it each night since. It seems durable, the weights are nice and once the kinks are worked out, it's great and gets the job done. The kinks: If the rope is too long, you'll have to krimp a new stopper and possibly cut off the ends, so there is no going back to longer rope (fortunately, I'm 6'+ and don't need to worry about it). Springs are used to keep the weights from bouncing around inside the handles. The first night, I was having major problems with the center of the rope tangling and catching me, not allowing me to get a half decent jump session. The next day, it was discovered that the spring inside one of the handles was bent, preventing the rope from twisting freely. The spring was turned around so the bent side was against the weight instead of the rope and it has worked perfect ever since.

This is a great jump rope if you can figure out how to adjust the length. I got this rope as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who is really into fitness and working out. He specifically asked that I get him a jump rope with weights. So I bought this one for him and he is not able to really get any true use out of it because we can't figure how to adjust the length...currently it is too long for him. So if we can't figure out how to adjust the length it will have been a wasted purchase. I have sent a question to Sears regarding this and am waiting for a reply. I will also contact Nordic Track next week to see what advice they can offer...cause we're stumped. Melani M. - Chicago, IL
