Easy way to clear floor space.

Mounted (2) units on 12ft ceiling using (2) cut 2 X 4 X 40" then lag bolting to ceiling joist. Fastened hardware per the directions to each board then," Presto!". "Job finished". With both bikes elevated, I have new free space in the garage.

This bike rack is easy to install and makes storing a bike a cinch. I only use my road bike for long rides with friends or a club and use my other bikes for commuting and putzing around town. The Racor Ceiling Rack makes it easy to get the road bike out of the way of everything till the time comes to use it again. Simply hook onto the handle bars and seat, pull the bike up and lock it in just like you would with a Venetian blind. Simple as can be. I highly recommend this product.

I bought two of these Racor bike rack systems to store bikes for the winter. It works well to organize your garage where storage is limited. The braces are metal and will hold the heaviest bike. The plastic pulley system works well and it is really quick and easy to raise and lower a bike. My only problem was that the installation was difficult mainly because you have to drill holes and install screws while on a ladder, although that's not a fault of the product but just what needs to be done. A tip: another person to help change bits on your drill and hold the screws helped quite a bit.

This rack was exactly what I was looking for! I have high ceilings in my garage and this allows me to put the bikes up so they are completely out of the way.

We have enjoyed this system of getting the bikes up and out of the normal walkway. Previously we used the hooks, but the garage ceiling was just high enough that only the tallest person could get the bikes down. This system has been great because even our pre-teen can retrieve their bike and store it without additional help. Highly recommend.

The only change I would recommend to make this product even better is: Use a hex head screw instead of the phillips heads. The phillips head screws provided were too soft even after predrilling the holes. After damaging two screws I went to the hardware store and got the hex head screws and the job went very smoothly from there. I installed three sets of bike racks.

well i got up to the ceiling measured everything just like the directions said all you need is a phillips screw driver right,,,,,then the screw won't go in all the way ....they striped out right away !! how can you screw in a 2" screw made of soft metal so i went down to my local hardware store and got 2" lag bolts it was real easy after that all you need is a socket wrench more power to driver the bolts less work for you ( i had to remove the screws that came with the rack with vise grips )
