Rival 10-cup Rice Cooker

I have NEVER been able to cook rice on top of the stove and couldn't wait to get a rice cooker! This one is really good! I am still adjusting the water to rice ratio to get the rice a little less clumped, but like anything, there's a learning curve. I DON'T like that the instructions don't give exact instructions about what ratio to use. You're supposed to go by your rice package's instructions. It's a awesome buy though!

I love this rice cooker! It is fast, quiet, easy to clean and keeps rice hot and ready all day. To make perfect rice with this, the secret is to rinse the uncooked rice in cold water until the water becomes clear. Then, cook it.

I love this rice cooker. It makes rice very easy to make and will not burn the rice. You add the rice and then water push the button down and wait. Very easy to use and makes it perfect each and every time. It takes up very little space and portable too!.

I puarchsed the Rival 10-cup rice cooker as a replacement for a more well know brand. At $30.00, this rice cooker is better than I expected. It's quiet, keeps the rice warm when it's finished cooking, and the rice is cooked excellently! If you need to replace your existing rice cooker or are looking for a great wedding gift, the Rival 10-cup rice cooker is an excellent choice!

I bought the 10 cup rice cooker for my friend. He loved it. It worked so simply and the rice came out perfect every time. That was, until today. I think a rice cooker should last more than 6 months. I bought it for his birthday, and he went to turn it on today, but it had quit working. No matter what he tried, it just wouldn't turn on. It is passed the 90 day return policy requirement for Kmart. So many things we buy there have to be returned, because the quality is so low. I am not shopping there again. It will cost more than the cooker cost, to pay to return it and get a new one. If this cooker was made in China, this is one more reason to buy Made IN USA products. Kmart has lost my business.

I really wanted this Cooker, being it did more then most, including steaming, but when in use, no matter how low the water, it bubbles out over the lid, spatters all over counters and anything in near vacinity, making such a mess, the cover is covered in the film from the rice water, if you add any spices, it's all over. I do admit it gets nice and hot, when the rice is done it's well cooked....but the mess is not worth the purchase price when all said and done. Each time I have used it, three times now...thinking it was maybe too much water, using less, it still spattered, bubbled out, got hot to touch on outside, hard to clean up, not just the machine but everything around that got covered in the rice water that spat out during cooking....I do not recommend this rice cooker. It was given as a gift by my sister visiting me from NY last month and it's past time to return it, so if you decide to purchase it, keep your receipt handy! I wish I could!

I recieved this 'Rival 10 cup Rice Cooker' as a housewarming gift from my Mother about a year ago. Let me just say, I use rice on a constant basis and this product is easy to use, easy to clean, non stick surface makes it easy to cook with! It's small enough to sit on my counter top, and I would highly recommend this product to anyone who may be looking to purchase a rice cooker for themselves or someone who may be in need of one. Make sure that you keep the manual and cooking information that comes with the box. It comes handy later on when you need measurements (in the back of the booklet) and you don't know how much water to add to something.

As a mother of four, I am sometimes short on time. This product is simple to use, and is easy to clean. I use this rice cooker a minimum of 1 time per week. The rice is always cooked to perfection. I have cooked brown, wild and white rice in this steamer and the rice always turns out the perfect texture.
