The electric fireplace with bookcases does not require a contractor to install it, and you can just plug it into a standard power outlet. Despite the impressive heating provided by the fireplace, it only uses about as much power as a coffee maker does. There is no combustion either, so you do not have to worry about fuel or fumes. The thermostat is set using a remote control. The fireplace mantle easily supports up to 85 pounds.
