I bought this little SD card reader/writer because my new laptop doesn't have a built in SD card reader/writer like my old, dead laptop did. This one installed itself as soon as I plugged it in. It was finished with its installation process before I even had a chance to insert the SD card I wanted to read. It transferred 5.5 Gig of photos from the SD card to the computer in a few minutes. If it had been USB 1, it would have taken a half hour or so. I'm impressed. Writing to the SD card was similarly quick. Everything happened just as it was supposed to happen. This is my highest praise for a computer accessory. And the price was right. It was on sale. The SD reader/writer at the electronics store at the other end of the strip mall was twice as expensive.
