I have had compactors in the past and this works as good as any, We have had it for about 6 mos and the drive gear broke. It could have been a defective part, we'll see...

Just got it! So far, so good. Sharp looking, easy to understand. Extremely heavy, took 2 people to carry in. Appears to be very well built. Only negative is unit is louder than I expected when compacting, not from crushing, motor is loud, not terrible but I expected it to be quieter.
